About Our Church

On October 7, 2008, St Anne Church was re-established by Bishop Brom as the Extraordinary Form parish in the Roman Catholic Diocese of San Diego. At the same time, he entrusted the parish to the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter(FSSP), a society of apostolic life which was established in 1988, with the approval of Pope St. John Paul II, to offer all the sacraments according to the liturgical books and rituals in use in 1962.

Liturgical Life

St. Anne’s is the premier traditional parish in San Diego County. Our community is “a family of families,” centered on the Blessed Eucharist.
A complete schedule of Mass times and other devotions is listed on our Mass Schedule page

Liturgical music- Gregorian chant, polyphony, and hymnody- is led by our parishioner-comprised choir and choristers. We are particularly proud to maintain the ancient Catholic chorister tradition.

Marian antiphons: The Marian antiphons change according to the liturgical season. You can learn them here

Parish Life

Our priests currently teach various classes for the community. We hold many educational homeschooling events. St. Anne’s also offers a healthy array of group and social activities, including:

  • Altar Guild (boys)
  • Choir
  • Holy Name Society for men
  • Women’s Guild

We also host special events such as Parish Picnic, Annual Fiesta, and the annual Christmas Pageant.

Our Priests

Three full-time priests in residence who belong to the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter (F.S.S.P.), an international society of Pontifical Rite with the charism to pursue holiness by means of the traditional liturgy and all things which flow from this: doctrine, discipline, and discipleship.
